I always liked the idea of natural deodorant.

But there’s nothing worse the irking feeling that you smell at a yoga class, at a grocery store, with friends at dinner. The tricky part is finding a natural product that keeps you smelling like roses.

Far into my deodorant-testing career, I was lucky enough to find three deodorants that charmed the stink off my pits. Depending on your skin type and preferences, any one of these could be your lucky match! We did the research for you to make sure that they are safe for your skin—none of these deodorants include petroleum products, parabens, or chemicals.

Osmia Natural Deodorant Cream

Osmia makes my favorite natural deodorant on the market. The consistency feels more like a paste than a cream—it’s rich and long lasting. Earth clay, tapioca starch, and baking soda absorb sweat excellently. The scent is beautiful. I found myself wondering what smelled so good throughout the day. Apply a bit more than recommended. The pea-sized amount was not enough for me.

Meow Meow Tweet Baking Soda Free Deodorant Cream with Grapefruit

Meow Meow Tweet expertly created a new formula without baking soda. Magnesium and arrowroot powder make this cream a dreamy combination for people with sensitive skin. I found that the sour hints of grapefruit were refreshing but not as powerful for cutting odor as Osmia’s scent. Meow Meow Tweet comes in 2.4 ounces, a great size for the price. I also recommend adding more than the suggested amount for full-coverage.

Fig + Yarrow Underarm Lotion

This underarm lotion smells like patchouli and thyme. It limits excessive sweating with a base of aloe, sage, witch hazel, and baking soda. The ingredients were especially nurturing. As much as I liked using a dispensable lotion, this lighter formula did not last as long as the creams.
